U.S. stocks finished higher Friday, after a solid employment report with the returning country's jobless rate to pre-pandemic levels. The S&P 500 was up 0.06% for the week. The Nasdaq Composite Index rose 0.68%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.19% for the week.
Noticed that the S&P 500 has fallen about 5% for the first three months of the year, which is the biggest quarterly loss since the start of 2020.
This index is showing something unusual
In a very rare display, "smart money" commercial hedgers are net-long every major equity index futures contract, ( $S&P 500 Index(.SPX.US$, $Dow Jones Industrial Average(.DJI.US$, $Nasdaq Composite Index(.IXIC.US$, $iShares Russell 2000 ETF(IWM.US$), amid various market turmoil including the beginning of the Fed's rate hike cycle and balance sheet reduction; rising inflation, and geopolitical tension.

They are now holding more than $53 billion worth of contracts net long, a record high, exceeding May 2020's $48 billion.
This is the combined dollar value of hedger positions in S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, and Dow Industrials futures contracts.
The smart money/ dumb money index is showing an upward trending smart money confidence level. Smart money refers to the capital controlled by institutional investors, central banks, and other professionals institutions.
Who's left to buy and take this higher? if I was a bear, I'd goosebumps seeing this. If I was a bull I'd call my derivative trader.
