Meta Announces the Establishment of Metaverse Engineering Center in Canada
$Meta Platforms(FB.US$ has announced the launch of a new engineering center in Canada aimed at building a metaverse to drive a new generation of immersive online social experiences. Headquartered in Toronto, the engineering center is expected to recruit up to 2,500 employees, and Meta notes that the Canadian engineering center will focus on engineering R&D, with future expansion into AR/VR content and Meta technology development.
