How to see gain/loss comparison btw purchase price vs current share price

hi all, sorry noon question here just started to use this app. dont really understand what is the meaning of the today p/l figure.
for example my purcahse price is $33.16 per share and i bought for 100 shares and current share price is $35.97 prr share. why today p/l is showing minus $21 ? not gain ? lol
