"IWD 2022 Event" Recap: Not everyone that inspires you has to be famous

Hi, mooers. At the beginning of March, a meaningful month for women, we held the #IWD Event 2022 to invite mooers to exchange ideas about women & investing. At the event, we prepared three topics for you. Now let's first recap what mooers have contributed to it.

Part I: Topic Recap

1. Which woman affects you the most in your trading journey?
Admirable figures such as Cathie Wood, Lisa Su, Oprah Winfrey, and Geraldine Weiss are mentioned the most by mooers. However, like @Mortyz said, not everyone that inspires you has to be famous. Many mooers mentioned that the inspiring women in their lives are ordinary people like their mothers, grandmas, wives, sisters, friends, fiancée, teachers, mentors, landladies, and even their female counterparts on moomoo. This might prove that the ordinary but beloved ones in your life are more influential than any investors with superpowers. As @aoimizu believed, "We don't have to look very far to find role models, they are usually the people closest to us."

2. What's the truth about being a female investor?
From @Syuee 's humble tips, we see wisdom and mutual assistance.
From @Shortie 's description that "I'm proud of myself for making the first step in being the first woman to invest in my family," we see courage and confidence.
We see consistency, patience, and independence from @Mama Cass , who started investing in 1989 instead of waiting for financial care from others.
We see change and power from @SideHustling who took up investing recently and felt "being a women investor now is so empowering."
Women in our community might just be a small part of the world, but what we see could be the epitome of global female investors.

3. What can we learn from women investors?
@Milk The Cow : "I guess is patient. Female are usually more patient in general."
@Jamesim : "Women still have unique advantages in investing, such as being better at listening, easier to empathize, easier to resonate, and more pro Harmony, diversity, tolerance, subtlety, courage, tenacity, and acumen can actually help them make better investment decisions."
Apart from the traits, women's touching stories also empower our mooers.
@12moon adopts a happy-go-lucky investor attitude because of his mom's wish that her children live happily as "yours truly," without modeling anybody.
@GT1982 's mother inculcated in him the importance of being prudent yet at the same time, making use of the opportunity if one is spotted to invest for making money work for me.
@Squid Vicious ' grandmother was highly intelligent and had the wisdom to share every time he talked with her.
Love is power. Don't hesitate to show gratitude to the women in our lives every day. :)
