What To Do When Market Control You?

I will just take a break from the market.
Why be so emotion over the market?
Not sure about others, but when it comes to investment... it means to invest with extra/spare cash or cash that u are willing to stand a chance of losing , at least that's what it means to me.

If u don't want the market to control you or u can't stand volatility & yet still want to invest, I suggests u just buy & hold etf like :
$SPDR S&P 500 ETF(SPY.US)$
$Vanguard S&P 500 ETF(VOO.US)$
$STI ETF(ES3.SG)$
$Nikko AM STI ETF(G3B.SG)$
Then, just make urself stay away from the market for about at least let say... about 3-5 years?
(Of course u can still add more if u want, but just add & nothing else=don't listen 🎶 to market noise)

Warrant once said that "if u aren't willing to own a stock for 10 years, don't even think about owning it for 10 minutes."

That's even more brutal than me.
I was like maybe 5 years still considered long-term investor.

Am I in this situation before?
Yar. Duh? I'm human.
How I overcome it?
I will ask myself these questions:
"Why do I let the market control me? I should be the one controlling it instead. I invests at my own time own target (OTOT) is because I don't want ppl boss around me."
"I thought I've convinced myself that I won't regret the choice of making that decision at that period?"
And there after, I'll come back to my sense & I will improve myself by realising & accepting my emotional mistake & just laugh it off.
