Sometimes it is easier than said, the emotions or non logical portion of you that takes over. Trying to refrain from those negatives. Trading in stocks, is like making an investment planning. For me, it is part of long term planning. Plan and diversify your investment (several baskets, not confine to stocks) so that you do not get affected too much. Do progressive buy in batches or selling(cash out when need) to maintain.

Make use of this time to read and to understand the companies better and their directions - which may put some relief. Some may prefer just hold and leave it to time. Hence, always go for companies that ride well... $Microsoft(MSFT.US)$ $Visa(V.US)$ $NVIDIA(NVDA.US)$ $Amazon(AMZN.US)$ etc.
