Short Term Gains

I did not change my strategy to a certain extent. I did purchase some February Calls on several energy stocks. In mid February I liquidated my positions and realized a nice return. It's about leveraging the current political environment for fast gains while holding on to your primary strategy.
The key is not to get greedy. I believe each country is just posturing at this point. Any conflict will have huge costs for each side. Nato will back down and Moscow will eventually achieve a political victory. I believe the market will look favorable to this outcome. However, it will cause energy and weapons manufacturing stock to pull back.
