In today small talk, we will be highlighting some of the small talks we had in the past 5 trading days (7 Feb 2022 to 11 Feb 2022), plus congratulating $Futu Holdings Ltd(FUTU.US$ MooMoo & two Mooers: ‘Mike Hunt’ and ‘Chris Cheung Invest’ on their special achievement.

On 7 Feb 2022, we started a small talk on 4 groups of stocks, namely, Metaverse stocks, Airlines stocks, Meme stocks and Casino stocks.

These 4 groups of stocks have been lagging behind, with some being undervalue due to the coronavirus pandemic, even thou we saw $Snap Inc(SNAP.US$ going strong after a spectacular reversal, which it rose by more than 50% on 4 Feb 2022.
Three days later, on 10 Feb 2022, we check on the 4 groups of stocks to see their performance and to our surprise, we see them rising positively with several stocks such as $Roblox(RBLX.US$ (from the Metaverse stocks group) rising more than 9%, $United Airlines(UAL.US$ (from the Airlines stocks group) rising more than 4%, $AMC Entertainment(AMC.US$ (from the Meme stocks group) rising more than 15% and 3 stocks: $Golden Entertainment(GDEN.US$ , $Boyd Gaming(BYD.US$ and $Full House Resorts(FLL.US$ (from the Casino stocks group) all rising more than 6%. ![]()
The Meme stocks group is the best among the 4 of them, as it has the most stocks rising more than 10% ( $AMC Entertainment(AMC.US$ and $SNDL Inc(SNDL.US$ ). However, the Meme stocks group is also the only group that have a stock, $Digital World Acquisition Corp(DWAC.US$ , which was down by less than 1.5%, due to the delay of its social platform, TRUTH Social.
Besides having a small talk on the 4 groups of stocks, we also talk about Saudi Aramco secondary listing, which Saudi Aramco hope to raise 50 billion in the listing, and also, we talk about whether should US Congress ban its members from trading stocks.

Expendabiggles : Suppose to be a free market. Finding out how heavily manipulated it really is has made a huge impact in how the average joe sees the stock market as a whole. Its look at from its core as more of a place to get ripped off and lose all your money than for ACTUAL investment in companies where we all share in their success and profits. Theres a lot more to this blanket statement but the over all outlook is the market is corrupted and the rich are using it as a tool to extract wealth from the financially uneducated poor. If the system isn’t cleaned up, purged of corruption, and made to strictly follow the laws for every trader and institution equally, one day the masses will have had enough and tear Wallstreet down, brick by brick. Those making huge sums of money at the expense of everyone else could prob care less but they’d better wake up before its all gone.
