Some people believe that every effect must have a cause. But the theory somehow doesn't work in the stock market. Too many factors that you can't control could move stock prices up and down. There's no need to spend every shred of your effort looking for specific reasons. Sometimes the market dip without a clue.

KT88 Syuee: I will be curious to find the reasons for short term stock fluctuations. But, I do agree that it is not necessary to know, if we are looking at a longer term time horizon. The real challenge is deciphering which will have a long-term impact and what is fluff. Earnings and growth are still the 2 major factors which I must know.
