101594515 : 11:52 PM EST, 01/09/2022 (MT Newswires) -- Econ Healthcare (Asia) (SGX:EHG) has acquired 11.8 million shares in Hong Kong-listed interior designer company Crosstec Group Holdings (HKG:3893) for an aggregate consideration of about SG$4.0 million ($3.0 million).
The nursing home operator acquired the shares in two tranches. It first acquired 6.8 million shares for about SG$2.0 million on Dec. 30, 2021, and then acquired a further 5 million shares for about SG$2.0 million shares on Jan. 6, according to a Sunday bourse disclosure.
The company said the acquisition will improve the yield on idle cash through dividends and share price appreciation. The transaction was funded internally using the working capital surplus of the company.
