Mike HuntOP Sam2101: When you sell a stock, if you made money, you have to pay taxes. If you sold for a gain in 2021, you must pay those taxes by April 15 2022. If instead you sell for a gain in 2022 (like selling now) you don’t have to pay the taxes on that until April 15, 2023.
