The best example would be $Alibaba(BABA.US)$. Does the bearish trend of this stock during the year reflecting that the risks getting lower? Volatility indeed provides investors a short term entry and exit opportunities.

For investors that using fundamentals analysis, taking a long term view is important as timing the market is difficult and generally quality companies with strong fundamentals do better when economic situations are slow.

We should not make our buy and sell decision/call based on the price factor standalone. Price doesn't equate to the risk in all situation. It is always the quality attributes and your investment thesis when making the judgement.🍀
