There is a part in Rich Dad Poor Dad where he talks about the poor being unable to be willing to take losses, whereas every rich person at some point loses money. Being willing to lose money is a part of getting rich. I am deep in the red in my spec stocks, which are all at ATLs, and I keep adding to the positions. I’m not looking to touch this stuff for 3-4 years, and I plan to sell the most expensive shares to tax loss harvest every year. If any one of these companies get to their ATH again it’ll pay for itself. If they all get to even half way I will have made a huge amount of money. If they all hit their ATH again I’ll make a fortune. It all depends on what stocks we’re talking about. People shouldn’t be purchasing shares of companies they don’t believe in.
