Hyundai Motor Group has suspended development of its Genesis hydrogen car project, which had been aiming to launch in 2025, The Chosun Ilbo newspaper reported on Dec. 28. According to the interview, Hyundai motor believes that the development performance and research progress of the third-generation fuel cell, which is coupled with its Genesis hydrogen car, have fallen far short of its original goal. Hyundai Motor Group is known to have drastically reduced the size of its fuel cell business in November after an internal review.
