Not sticking to my diversification principles..
My biggest mistake has cost me tens of thousands because I continued to double down on what I believed to be a no-brainer investment. A lot of Chinese stocks this year crashed spectacularly and I made the poor decision to continue to buy heavily into the drops. As we can see now, the stocks have continued to drop further than I anticipated to record low valuations. Although it can still bounce back long term, I should’ve stuck with my principles to never put more than 15-20% of my portfolio into a single stock or sector.
