$Netflix(NFLX.US$ has been trying to attract Indian consumers who are highly price-sensitive. According to research firm Media Partners Asia, Netflix has won only about 5 million customers in India, compared to 46 million customers subscribing to $Disney(DIS.US$ ’s Hotstar platform and 19 million customers subscribing to $Amazon(AMZN.US$ Prime Video. The agency estimates that India will have 1 billion potential streaming media users.
