Time to sell AAPL and re-enter later?

$Apple(AAPL.US)$ I’m currently holding AAPL at $126 average, there is a very good profit on my position now.

Now that AAPL is beginning to lose its steam from its large run up over the past few weeks, would you say that it’s good to sell off and take the profit and then re-enter again when the price has dropped? Or would you simply hold regardless of what happens with the price?

Thank you.

  • oceanboi : yea

  • kalil : Personally, I would hold- for a couple of reasons. First: we don’t know how low the stock will go. The stock could keep climbing and this might be the cheapest you can buy the stock for Second: Since you have held the position for less than a year, you will be taxed at a much higher capital gains tax rate if you sell now.
