Daily Poll: U.S. jobless claims decline to lowest level since 1969.
Applications for U.S. state unemployment benefits declined last week to the lowest level since 1969, illustrating difficulties adjusting the raw data for seasonal effects.
Initial unemployment claims totaled 184,000 in the week ended Dec. 4, down 43,000 from the prior period, Labor Department data showed Thursday. The median estimate in a Bloomberg survey of economists called for 220,000 applications.

Greenhorn : what I think is ridiculous about this statement is that it doesn't take into account the number of people who do not qualify so they do not apply for unemployment. Yes there are a large amount of jobs right now but the pay is bunk and the work environment toxic. Why doesn't that get fixed instead of focusing on who wore what to the white house function.
student otg Greenhorn: the grass is rarely ever greener on the other side of the fence..so when it comes down to it unless you can win the lottery or make 1500 a week doing nothing or become some type of stock market guru we have to work somewhere for someone..no one is entitled to anything ..I was raised in the way to believe that if you want something you earn it so I take ass to work 5-7 days a week at a foundry and bust my ass making car parts so that whoever would like to buy one of these cars or trucks that I've taken a role in building..it will be there..point is most jobs are shit..that's why it's called work not amusement but we still have to do them as responsible adults. Not everyone in the world can make 1 million dollars a year it's just the way it is..you wanna make more money? then invest in yourself. Build a better version of you. NOT SAYING ANY OF THIS WITH ANY malicious intent..just my 3 cents
