  • shawn wang : When bears predict that the stock price will fall, they will start opening and shorting positions, and wait for the stock price to drop, then buy back and close the position at a lower price.
A short liquidation means that after a short has set up a position, the stock price does not fall according to the forecast, but instead rises. As the stock price rises, once the principal amount of the short account cannot be paid back for the purchased shares, the brokerage firm will be forced to close the position and buy the shares. As a large number of bears are forced to close their positions, causing a large number of bears to buy shares, creating buying pressure, causing stock prices to skyrocket further, the formation of short squeezing is what is called a short squeeze.

  • 布兰卡OP : Thank you for your response! I still don't understand. Taking BTX's early trading today as an example, it's clear that a large number of orders were sold out, but the stock price is rising. Is this a short sale or an open position?
