how does the US ADS to HK stock conversion work?

$DiDi Global (Delisted)(DIDI.US)$ not sure how it work if Didi converts US ADS to HK stock. As what I see from alibaba, its US stock value is synced with the HK one, the conversion rate is same as the currency in Futu. if it works the same for Didi, when Didi list ok HK stock with a solid price, the US one will react accordingly. it does not matter how Low it’s now due to the market reaction, the final price will depends on the value at the point when Didi list on HK. Correct me if I am wrong, thank you.

  • moolalah : Since it's decided to delist, means that DIDI will not buy back its shares and rather go OTC > delist/convert to HK stock?

  • 激情的达伦OP moolalah: From Didi’s official website announcement, they mention convert stock, did not mention privatised, I think that’s why it drop so much. For privatised, it should go up. Anyway, nothing is confirmed until it happens, there were too much drama and fake news for this stock

  • 102840379 : It's that fast, is he fragrant? I think I'll be able to see him in Hong Kong around this time next year! When will a chicken that falls into the water become a phoenix. America hasn't screwed him yet! Guess the end is still there? Let's take a look at Lenovo's results! Is the Yanagi family full of loyalty?

  • moolalah 激情的达伦OP: Yeah that's what I thought too. Well hope for the best but expect the worst. Worst investment ever - this will probably put a stinker on other Chinese stocks for a while. Hope no other casualties. 😪

  • 1027696969 : Nobody knows yet at what value it will be converted. Chances are at IPO rate, or maybe lower. Bear in mind they can’t go too low as it will affect investor confidence when they list in HKSE

  • 激情的达伦OP 1027696969: with the gov policy, punishment and the rise of the rival, Didi’s actual value will definitely drop quite some, so I think its HK listed price will reflect its value at that time, definitely lower than US IPO 14, and unlikely to be less 7(half of US IPO), . It’s still so big and with so much money that they collected from US market.
