  • TrinityM : I think it will drop. Most of environmentally friendly stuff are unprofitable

  • toomanyscammers : my personal opinion is that this is good as a long-term investment due to the move towards green energy.

  • helloarigato : I also think good for holding for long-term

  • Cash88OP : how long is long? Hope it don't become another Sembcorp marine

  • toomanyscammers Cash88OP: firstly, i think sembcorp marine and this REIT etf does different businesses? I've not researched on sembcorp so ain't sure. but from my understanding, they seem to be diff industries :) Secondly, this isn't a single co like sembcorp, but is an etf. which means the risk is diversified cos the performance of the stock depends on the various companies that it is tracking. even if one co doesn't do extremely well, if the rest do well, the etf may still not be pulled down greatly.
Thirdly, do you think green energy and energy conservation will be more valued and practised in Singapore two years from now? If yes, then, that's your answer. If you think that it might be more valued X no. of years from now, then be vested in this at the time u think it'll do well in sg.

  • Biggy168 : If this reit is in US mkt, may hv chance to go up, but in SIN, will be very slow, like 8yrs ago TPE was trying out electric bus, here only just started... Similarly with solar energy, what does our gamen do, when we hv sun 365days, only now they r saying some HDB will hv solar panels, so ipo is never workable in SIN mkt, gone r the ipo rally days. Our SGX only bring in low grade listing. Like SEA is local company, if listed in Sin, doubt it will rise to US mkt price. Can't trade SGX now
