I held various “series” licenses and after re visiting some of my Kaplan books, I realized that there is a vast gap in the financial law aspect of tradjng and, not to be rude but, basic macroeconomic concepts at a high level & the fundamental concepts of tactical management (quarterly) and strategic management (twice yearly).

Mcsnacks H Tupack : How much influence do you think the SEC considers illegal? I’ve seen recent arrests of people on Twitter who had less followers than me. Their definition of market manipulation is very broad and can be applied to most situations. I know I’m safe just as long as they can’t prove of me benefiting excessively from my financial advice. But if they knock on my door, i won’t be shocked.

If you have Never licensed to give Financial advice or confirm/execute trades (more so the first one) NOTHING you say is considered financial advice because why would someone take the advice of an unqualified person when there is readily available access to extremely qualified individuals. The BIG no no is when you are even talking about single company stocks WHILE being contracted with an investment firm or broker dealer.
TLDR: if you are not a licensed finance professional, you are Not giving financial advice.

OFFICER TRUTHOP : Market manipulation is any non-public, material information. Say bob and Tom are Talking about insider trading and let’s say John from across the table, Over hears the conversation and by Over hearing the conversation, he is now considered apart of insider trading. That is exactly how the SEC looks at is and decides on it
