$Ford Motor(F.US)$ Dude, Ford goes through a crisis every ten years or so. Ford Treasury is very conservative and has been in the debt business for longer than we have been alive. They're very conservative and have been correct more often than not, often in times of crises. Not saying they are perfect but I would give them the benefit of the doubt specifically when it comes to bonds and debt. Just my 2 cents based on observing Ford since 1990.

  • EEEEgil : Ford is now run by brilliant, forward looking management, not a family member. Farley gets it and has surrounded himself with likeminded, aggressive and competent people. Hardly a week goes by when they don’t prove it again and again. Ignore F at your own loss.

  • Aaron_Kelly EEEEgil: Have you noticed how Mr. Farley is beginning to issue statements about Ford much more frequently on Twitter. It is as if he is following the example set by Elon Musk who appears to use this platform to constantly pump Tesla's stock price.
Hopefully Mr. Farley will be more accurate than Mr. Musk on what he communicates

  • wild horse : I agree. I remember in 2016 when Ford raised about $3 billion of new debt. At the time Ford's cash position was fine and Ford gave no plans on what to do with the cash raised. Mark Fields comment about it was that Ford was just doing it because was a good opportunity to take advantage of low interest rates. With the financial crises being so recent, support for the debt raise was viewed as lukewarm. But in hindsight that was a great decision by Ford.

  • ceerup : I'll be curious to see if Ford announces any comprehensive dividend policy going forward in future earning calls.
