What are your most important investments?
Thank you, Moomoo, for starting this topic that makes me reflect on “investment”.
For me, “investment” is not only in monetary sense — it is something that we put good effort in, and hopefully, we also receive good returns. I have 3. For them, I'm grateful this Thanksgiving.
1. Invest in health
I got Covid-19 a few weeks after my first dose of vax. It was nothing more than a flu (tbh, I’ve had worse flu days). I’m thankful that I was at least protected by one dose of vax. I’m also thankful that my mom has always instilled in us the importance of good health — I’ve quite consistently had a good healthy foundation that allowed my body to withstand worse attacks from the virus. Now, having recovered from C-19, I’m more confident about traveling safely once that gets easier next year.
Invest in your health. An 🍏 $Apple(AAPL.US$ a day keeps the doctor away. Maybe also invest in $Pfizer(PFE.US$ and $Moderna(MRNA.US$ ![]()
2. Invest in family and loved ones
Relationships are important, but very often, we don’t give them enough energy nor time. Luckily, I’ve had the opportunity to reflect on this, and made the choice of flexible work arrangements so that I can spend more precious hours with my loved ones, and also myself. My work income has dipped but that’s okay.
Invest in your family and loved ones. They will always be there for you, so must you. Watch some $Netflix(NFLX.US$ or $Disney(DIS.US$ with them. Wish we could go to $AMC Entertainment(AMC.US$ here in Singapore but I guess GV, Shaw or Cathay will suffice ![]()
3. Invest wisely in stocks and other financial instruments
I’m so glad Moomoo landed in Singapore. I’m a complete noob in investing, having only passively put my money away in funds managed by others. With Moomoo, I’m taking back control how I want to grow my money. Because I need it so that I can work less but instead, make my money work for me, while I spend time on myself, my loved ones, and the things I enjoy doing.
