It may be that high P/E names with earnings in the future are being repriced, while low P/E card issuers like $Capital One Financial(COF.US$ and $Synchrony Financial(SYF.US$ are holding up better. The performance of the latter two does not suggest fear of a consumer spending slowdown.

Austin ONeill : All of these are great hedges against inflation. Prices go up, they take a same percentage of the now higher priced item.
