$Singtel(Z74.SG$ Singtel was authorised to buy back 826M shares, well that's around $2 billion! Max short position at it's peak was ~90M, now around 53M. Thus in short, if Singtel can pull their resources together and has a serious go to push up the price, shortists will be burnt. Imo Singtel is in the driver seat and it's up to the shorts to cover. The devils are probably in the details though, let's see.

AK4321OP : My thoughts are they will cover retail personal loans currently served by those financial institutions, as well as small loans currently covered by say credit cards and/or buy now pay later scheme. In fact Grab are already dishing out such loans to drivers for a few thousands $$ approved in a few mins interest free for 3-6 mths. The real income comes when default happens.
