AMD went separate way in 2009 I think, but continue to tie up for Globalfoundries to supply the fab. Globalfoundries was a loss making firm although it’s now the 3rd largest behind TSM and Samsung in fab production.

AMD doesn't own any GF. Mubadala, who owns GF, had a big stake in AMD, I think they still have some. I think they were required to be under some %, like 14% or such. I don't really care enough to dig that up.

It seems they got out completely. There may still be an active agreement to make a certain amount of chips at GloFo but the clock must be close to running out on the deal.
