While some of his ideas are unattainable, he has the ability to get people excited about his ambitions, projects, and plans. The thing that greatly inspires me is his ability to make people believe in his vision.
Elon Musk motivates me to work hard and that anything can be possible if you put loads of effort into something. He is affecting the choices I make because he helps me think bigger. Sometimes I feel like something is highly unlikely to happen and that makes me not want to try something because of that. Elon motivates me to take calculated risks in my financial choices and to believe in myself.
Elon Musk is truly a once in a lifetime inventor and technological visionary.

His dream of self driving electric cars drove him to transform $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ into the world's most valuable car company. Following his heart, Musk set ambitious but realistic goals to push the boundaries which led to the phenomenal success of $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ today. Known for being a workaholic and high risk taker, Musk is passionate about his work and persistent to pursue his goals and not afraid of whatever failures he has encountered. He has managed to pick up important lessons from earlier failures and clearly understands that success comes at a cost. Even when $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ was on the brink of collapse, Musk pushed ahead to clear up whatever mess and even elevated $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ to the top. Truly, Musk is an global inspirational icon across all generational cohorts.
GratefulPanda : I am a huge fan of Elon Musk. He obviously made enough money from the PayPal sale to retire, but he chose to start two different companies with his goal to save/green the planet and to travel among the stars. And knowing fully well they may not succeed, he still chose to do it. With his incredible work ethic, it has been incredible to see the achievements of Tesla and particularly Space X. I still remember the first time I saw them landing successfully the rocket on the droneship at sea, crazy crazy crazy cool achievement. Incredible the huge vision of one man, and how it may lead us in future to travelling among the stars and becoming a space-faring civilization. I completely salute him and he deserves all the success of Tesla and Space X. Plus, it's a breath of fresh air he doesn't take himself seriously (technoking lol), and all in all, I'm just incredibly lucky to be a supporter at the sidelines witnessing this now, and if SpaceX ever get listed, I will buy their shares for sure.
