Futu has noticed the relevant media coverage on the compliance issues with the Personal Information Protection Law of several Internet brokers and our response is as follows:
Futu has always proactively complied with relevant regulations. Regarding the rectification opinions put forward by the “Special Task Force on the Regulation of Apps” in July 2019, Futu contacted the Task Force immediately and had completed all the rectification works in accordance with relevant opinions and regulatory requirements by August 2, 2019.
Futu has also maintained regular self-examination and self-inspection to further ensure compliance. We have always been actively communicating with regulators, strengthening the training on personal information protection, and enhancing the awareness and capacity of personal information protection. At the same time, Futu has engaged external professional information security teams to provide regular security inspection reports so that we can optimize our systems accordingly and boost our risk prevention capacity. Regarding the Personal Information Protection Law and other domestic legislation on data protection, Futu has always been closely following up on the latest legislative developments and optimizing our compliance practices by continuously organizing legal analysis and training within the company.
Since our founding, Futu has insisted that the protection of personal information and data is of top priority. Futu has been strictly complying with relevant laws and regulations. Going forward, we will continue to actively cooperate with regulatory authorities to better safeguard personal information.
