$Futu Holdings Ltd(FUTU.US$ isn't it an old news? The CCP prompted FUTU and TIGR in July 2019 on the lapses in personal data collection so that they can made the necessary corresponding adjustments. The Law was passed on 20 August 2021. The news articles just hightlights that new law takes effect on 1 November. Suddenly everyone thinks that CCP is going to chop FUTU on 1st Nov.

BeardedTaco : There are 2 things happening here that are both true. 1st, people should be cautious of the CCP because they don't care who they hurt to get what they want. 2nd, there are short sellers and other market participants that will use the reasonable fear of the unpredictable and destructive CCP to cause panic.
I would be careful how much you make light of the ignorant or revel in their suffering lest you find yourself without compassion in your time of trial.
