chris from queens : nope...I'm a 40 hours a week guy and 7 hours Saturday once in a while. the idea that big us companies want to extend working hours is good for people who have children and families to take care of me I am 37 years old single no kids no baby mama drama lol... but it's great for the person providing for the family. Well the companies you have names always work overtime in November and December with the holidays coming up. GET THAT MOOLAHHHHH?

BeardedTaco : Its frankly shocking and sad that none of these people understand why record numbers of people are quitting their jobs... it's not because of the pandemic. it's not because of childcare. it's because of the systematic reconsolidation of wealth to the top 1%.
Cheers to my fellow mid 30s dudes that have retired or have the self awareness and self worth to have healthy work life balance. I'm 37 and "retired" 2 years ago. I say retired in quotes because I definitely work harder at trading that I did at chemistry, but I enjoy it so much more.
For example, The US FED has been injecting a min of $120 Billion per month since September 2019... as in 6 months before the "COVID Crash". Despite all of the economic data and common f-ing sense suggesting that QE and helicopter money would not solve a health crisis. especially when the president at the time was more concerned with spray tanning himself to look like an umpa-lumpa than prevent the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans and setting in motion a day of insurrection than will be, unfavorably, in American History books in coming generations.... but I digress... Despite the FED knowing that they were poking the slumbering bear of inflation, they ceased the opportunity to further stack money in the their wealthy friends pockets.
the one thing that they didn't consider was that young people, having bleak prospects and nothing to lose, would use this helicopter money to free themselves from the slavery that is being the man's bitch for nothing.
I could go on, bit no wants to hear my ramblings.

T snow : I Sworn to live, not live to work. I’m a single guy with no kids and I can live off 40 hours a week paycheck. Can live off 32 but hey I Like money too. Never will i over work though I tell ya!
