I see today that a Japanese drugmaker, called Shionogi, is developing easy-to-take Covid pills to combat mild cases. $Merck & Co(MRK.US$ is also doing the same thing. But can they actually change the game?![]()

cowabanga : The whole saga reflects the Covid early days vaccine race. We expect biotech companies could go erratic return, but key question is which one. If the pills serve as a replacement to the future booster shots, then clearly pill company won. To avoid wrong bet, I would focus on reopening as a whole

Mike Hunt : I hear ignorant people see all the time why should I get the vaccine when you can still get Covid even though you got the shot? And the answer is the vaccine makes you 29 x Less likely to be hospitalized interns your possibility of dying into a much much smaller one
SgDavidC : Taking pill after infection is good but prevention is always better than cure.
Is just like saying is OK to have aids or cancer as long as there is medicine for early stage cases.
