Review of performance : Glad I exited flat
I will review briefly a trade I made on 02801 ishares MSCI China. It was done a couple of weeks ago, when the price was around $30, and the China tech shares had been dropping for a while. When it dipped below $30, thinking it was finally time to enter and hold, I bought in a few times, with the average price around mid $29 ish. Things were stable for a while, the price held around that level and went back slightly above $30, so all seems fine on the horizon. But I was a little concerned because there was so much more news and chatter on Tencent and Alibaba, and everyone was saying is it time to buy, just buy and hold for five years, bargain of the century etc etc. It was a bit concerning. So I decided then to exit all the position at one go, at a very small loss. Am a little thankful I did that now, since it's at $28ish now. So I just spared myself the mental tiredness of holding a position in the red at least. So the lesson probably is cheap can still be cheaper, low can still go lower, still need to develop more patience since it's showing no signs of recovery as yet.

GratefulPandaOP Panda2102: Indeed!
Syuee : Your decision to exit is the art of cutting loss(small) in exchange for good mental wellness. It’s extremely true with the “cheap can still be cheaper, low can still go lower” phrase.
GratefulPandaOP Syuee: Thanks so much for your wise words. I also always look forward to your wonderful insights postings too
styleomileo : Rule no. 2...refer to rule no. 1

Thelord : Spot on. If there is a chance to lose money, it is better not to try to make in the first place
