Summer Camp: Similar Charts
In my watchlist in Moomoo, I have enabled a preview of the intraday chart. I was often struck by the remarkable similarities in some stocks’ chart movements and wondered which other stocks were the same. Luckily for me and others who have the same query, Moomoo has built in the Similar Charts feature in Chart Settings to specifically address this. I can think of a few ways in which Similar Charts can be useful to me:
1) Identify potential trading opportunities, such as counters I would not have thought of by myself.
2) Predict how the stock price may move next, with the caveat that future performance may not necessarily mirror historical results.
3) Improve my chart analysis skills.
I plan to explore this feature further in my free time. I will try executing some paper trades based on the stocks identified by this feature to see how it can support my real world trading strategies.
