- Futures contracts tied to the major U.S. equity indexes were mildly higher in Thursday morning trade as Wall Street looked to improve upon a mixed week.

- Grill maker Weber sold fewer shares at a lower price than expected in its initial public offering, people familiar with the matter said, the latest sign the new-issue market may be cooling after a torrid run this summer.

$Dow Jones Industrial Average(.DJI.US)$futures rose 79 points, while $S&P 500 Index(.SPX.US)$futures traded in mildly positive territory. $Nasdaq Composite Index(.IXIC.US)$futures rose 27.25 points.
The moves in the futures markets came after a mostly lower regular session on Wednesday.
