Invest During Earning Season
I believe most of us are new trader here (Yes, including me 😄), I'm trying share what I observe and learnt during this earning period 🏦💵
As a rookie I thought this period could be the best time to buy or sell shares, it started with earning announcement by $Snap Inc(SNAP.US$ which lead share price jump around 23% after announcement, which also impact to other social media shares up $Facebook Inc(FB.US$ , $Twitter (Delisted)(TWTR.US$ which also increase around 5-10% just because of this announcement, this really trigger me to focus and alert to earning days for other company 📈🚀🚀

The next to announce including big names like AAPL, TSLA, FB, MSFT, where all of these big companies reported good result and beat high estimate comfortably. One of example $Tesla(TSLA.US$ make a fantastic achivement by announce 10x total revenue growth and beat expectation, I recommend my friends to buy so not to miss out the chance that Snap impact had, but share price drop after earning announcement, same to other compatriots like AAPL, FB and MSFT 📉⏬
It made me wonder how two similar event and result have different impact to stock movement 🤔🧐
Now I realize that before the earning date, normally most traders already made a buy position,and shares already increase before the earning announcement, many will just take profit regardless the earning is fantastic or not, and may also do short selling to buy more at lower price which is also great strategy for those that apply short term trading approach, which mean short term trader have to buy the share 1-2 month before earning season to gain the most (some moomooer said the best time to buy is within May-June period).
For me and others who willing to invest for longer term, this season is the best chance to grab and buy giant& blue chip stocks at discounted price if we miss out buy at May-June period, as long we sure the company future are bright, which not only by our feelings but supported by strong earnings report 🚀😃
It would be even better if we can read financial statement (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, etc.) to see Company overall progress, high revenue if it is not come from operating income (eg. from selling off subsidiary company, profit from shares, may not indicate company actual progress).

ahart7726OP 102355763: Hi, thanks for your comment, please refer to 2 day (27-28 July) after EarnIng release date (26-Jul), the price drop from 668 to around 627-644, this is the direct impact of earning release, after that Elon Musk announce AI day on 29 Jul which bring up the price again to 687 which is good for us
102355763 ahart7726OP: What is ‘this season’? Quarterly reports many out liao. Chiong one, chiong liao. Lao sai one, lao sai liao. Next reporting in October. Next earning reports forecast slower growth. Chiong or lao sai nobody knows
ahart7726OP 102355763: yes no body can predict it will go up or down, even the most expert one, we just anticipate and see most common behaviour, but for long term investment, I should say it is still worth to buy Tesla, now all Expert Analyst mostly increase target price for Tesla at 800-850 already, but we all never know, we all must do our own due diligence, never trust anyone, trust your self, and decide, I'm also newbie and this my own knowledge to share, so keep learning and someday we will become a better investor/ trader, thanks
