Jul 20 06:30
Cancelled
On July 20, Blue Origin (BORGN) will fly its 16th New Shepard flight to space, and its first with astronauts on board. The launch will be broadcast live beginning at 7:30 am ET or 7:30 pm SGT. Liftoff is currently targeted for 9:00 am ET or 9:00 pm SGT. About the aviators: Legendary aviator Wally Funk, 82, will join Jeff Bezos and his brother Mark in the journey aboard the New Shepard launch vehicle. Funk was one of the Mercury 13 -- the first women trained to fly to space from 1960-1961, but excluded because of their gender. On July 20, She will become the oldest person ever to go to space. Oliver Daemen, an 18-year-old Dutch student and aspiring pilot, will become the youngest ever person in space, making this journey a doubly historic one.
