It’s a no for me

$Pfizer(PFE.US)$ and its partner BioNTech announced Thursday evening that they will seek authorization from the FDA for a third "booster" dose of their COVID vaccines that will offer increased protection against the Delta variant (despite the fact that both Pfizer and its rival Moderna repeatedly insisted that its vaccines are still effective against all known variants including Delta). The company referenced the data out of Israel, where government scientists have estimated the real efficacy of the vaccine vs. Delta is somewhere around 64%, while leaving particularly vulnerable patients at risk of severe illness and death. The booster dose would ideally be given within 6 to 12 months post-vaccination. The news is surprisingly aggressive, considering the FDA hasn't even approved the first generation of vaccines yet (they were all granted emergency authorizations, and the FDA is still evaluating safety data, which is why we know the mRNA jabs cause rare side effects including heart inflammation in a small number of men). The CDC and FDA will decide whether to recommend a third dose. But they have a pretty strong track record of safeguarding the interests of the Big Pharma companies that produced the vaccines. And when asked about getting the vaccine shot i’ll tell them the same thing i tell my wife “Keep that thing away from me!”

  • maddhatter maddhatter: Although your medical expertise is surely invaluable .

  • Mcsnacks H TupackOP maddhatter: I got my rabies shot so that should be just as good. 😂

  • maddhatter Mcsnacks H TupackOP: Good luck

  • Mcsnacks H TupackOP : If they could give an actual argument for it benefiting me or society then I’d be glad to get it. But less than 70% efficacy and needing 3 shots over a year, with it having a  risk of heart problems or an allergic reaction. Especially knowing that anyone that has a normal BMI and is under the age of 60 has a .000001% chance of dying from it due to the fact that this type of coronavirus doesn’t attack the lining in your lungs, but instead is a blood virus that detaches the iron and oxygen cells which deliver it to your brain and lungs. Which means it would only be deadly to someone overweight because iron and oxygen have trouble moving thru fat cells or the elderly who produce less iron cells to carry the oxygen cells.

  • Mcsnacks H TupackOP maddhatter: 2 years med school. Giddyup!

  • maddhatter : Just wondering why you feel the need to share your slightly informed opinion with total strangers on a subject you are certainly ill-equipped to speak on.
    Is this a medical forum?

  • Mcsnacks H TupackOP maddhatter: No investors. Medical helps them guage the risk a company faces by giving out shots that haven’t been proven to be safe or effective. In case they were wanting to invest long term. Even tho the company has immunity from being sued it will still be a blow to the company that will have dire effects on the future stock price.

  • maddhatter Mcsnacks H TupackOP: Why didn’t you finish? 2 years? I spent that much time at Northwestern MC. Years in surgery at Washoe Med and a few more years researching records at Michael Reese. You washed out in 2 years yet want to impress people with your opinions. Now you’re a financial advisor. That’s cool 😎

  • Mcsnacks H TupackOP maddhatter: Just wasn’t for me. I prefer to have knowledge in a vast amount of professions, as this will advance my goal of complete independence from every part of the government system and any control they try to force upon me.

  • maddhatter Mcsnacks H TupackOP: Fair enough and good luck with it. Govt. control starts with our power bill and all that electricity control- gas pumps, supermarket refrigerators, etc.
The downfall of the power grids will be the true test.
