No Holiday During War with Monster

Holiday, it may seem is a joyful day for most of the people as they get to rest and off from work for recharge. However, for me working as a frontliner in healthcare sector, I am unfamiliar with holiday and it is a luxury day for me which I couldn’t afford, since the outbreak of Covid 19 in this planet.
For the past 1.5 years, I had not enjoyed any holidays like most of you all, but I had no complaint. Even so, I am so proud to serve my community and my country during this pandemic because I understand that without the frontliner to combat with the virus, the situation of the pandemic would be much worse. I took the pride to be a frontliner and I had no regret for my current position. Yes, I would envy for those people who could have work from home, enjoying holidays, spending times with family but my holiday had been all contributed to my country, which make me proud of myself.
Since the outbreak of Covid 19, everyday there are countless of citizens came over to do Covid test. Me and my team had to sacrificed our weekends and operate daily as we want to screen the community as much as we could. We hope that all of us shall help and cooperate during this pandemic by following the social distancing, wear mask whenever you are outside, sanitize yourself frequently and MOST IMPORTANTLY, GET YOURSELF VACCINATED. We haven’t win the war yet, and we need everyone to fight along us.

Even I’m so much busy on the frontline, whenever there is free time, I would study about stock markets and follow the latest updates/trends. The stock markets always run 6-12 months ahead of today and therefore we need to have a further sight and think of the future. I still can remember during the beginning of the outbreak of Covid 19, I started to look at the gloves sector like $Top Glove(BVA.SG)$ , as they manufactured gloves which is part of essential PPE.
At the Q3 of 2020, I started realized that vaccines are being trial for a few companies like $Pfizer(PFE.US)$ , $Moderna(MRNA.US)$ , $Johnson & Johnson(JNJ.US)$ and $AstraZeneca(AZN.US)$ . I believe that eventually vaccines will be available thus I started to look at these vaccine manufacturers. In 2021, most of the countries are starting to give vaccination to their citizens and most of the countries are gradually reopen their economic sectors including tourisms.
However, the strike of Delta variant of Covid 19 had put the border reopening a query as it spread 40% faster than usual Covid 19 virus. Regardless of this, for this year, recovery sectors should be the main theme such as oil and gas related, consumers, tourisms and airlines.

Personally, I’d prefer tech sector as it is the evergrowing sector where the technology is become more advanced. I look good on the electric vehicles (EV) to be the big trends for the next 5 years. Thus, several EV manufactures like $Tesla(TSLA.US)$ , $NIO Inc(NIO.US)$ , $XPENG-W(09868.HK)$ , $BYD COMPANY(01211.HK)$ , $Ford Motor(F.US)$ , also EV related companies such as $Taiwan Semiconductor(TSM.US)$ , $Cree Inc(CREE.US)$ , $Plug Power(PLUG.US)$ etc. As the demand of EV rising rapidly in coming years, these will be my core portfolio for the next couple of years.
