Theta Burn Week
$GameStop(GME.US$ AMC and GME are both dealing with a burn week. It's where the shorts cause the price to trade sideways all week. Options depend on volatility. If you trade sideways, theta eats those options alive. With the regulations changing, hedges change their approach. One is to burn option theta to try to discourage/financially cripple RIs. Caleb UttOP Machiavellis3rdEye: Man, I don't think we could make them blink if we showed up 4m strong at their door. The only way for them to act is if it's in their best interest. The way I see it, if the hedges own the SEC, burning the hedges like we have been doing is a double whammy
Caleb UttOP stonktrader25: I've got a 250 GME expiring tomorrow. Just 1 do it's not like it's the end of the world. But I also caught on to what they were doing by Tuesday evening. Anyone not trading options might not understand that they play with the price in different ways for different reasons
