$Tesla(TSLA.US$ Not trying to start a fight, but I really don't understand what problem Bitcoin solves for Tesla? Currency exchange rates? Isn't Bitcoin volatility much larger than currency exchange rates? Could someone please enlighten me?

Mathew Midcap : They still have to pay taxes on the transaction plus capital gains tax whenever they liquidate the bitcoin (assuming it's at a gain). So I'd imagine this will be more paperwork and hassle. I think PR move is correct.

doctorpot1 : maybe it is so that those crypto miner can buy a car without needing to pay taxes? if they were to convert crypto to cash then they need to pay taxes. but if they just transact in crypto, they can avoid taxes?

its not worth it to pay for ANYTHING with crypto because how the US tax system is. you are better tp take the amount you want to spend out in fiat, and pay cash (cashier check) for the item. if tesla wants to have bitcoin, let them buy it themselves.
