Comfirmed: Nvidia Is Buying ARM from SoftBank for $40 Billion
$NVIDIA(NVDA.US$ has confirmed a deal to buy British chipmaker Arm Holdings from $SoftBank Group (ADR)(SFTBY.US$, Valued at $40 billion, the transaction is expected to be immediately accretive to NVIDIA’s non-GAAP gross margin and non-GAAP earnings per share.
NVIDIA has a higher price to earnings ratio than the average company (27.79) in the semiconductor industry, which indicates that the market is optimisitc about its future.
