Due to macroeconomic uncertainty, some of the retail stocks have taken a beating this year. However, the turning point may be just around the corner.

$Walmart(WMT.US)$ reported a stunning set of numbers for Q3 on Nov 15 with significant beats on both revenue and earnings. It's stock price up 6.54% after the earnings released.
$Best Buy(BBY.US)$ shares surge 12.7% after retailer sticks with its holiday-quarter outlook.
According to the research done by NRF (National Retail Federation), holiday sales in November and December represent 19% of annual sales over the last five years. So the upcoming black Friday and the year-end sale may be crunch time for the entire sector.
