Will the war end soon? What's my next move?

I don't think the war will end that soonSmug. Both parties have bring possible peace on the table.
But, I see Putin is very stubborn & he will not stop until he achieved what he wantedAngry. The idea of Putin stopping the war maybe a "trap" as he is facing obstacles of his own troops & ppls + a prolong war supply shortages during this invasion of Ukraine 🇺🇦... So, I think he may pause temporarily & sort out his own problems = 'Traitors' (come on, I feel like h...

Today I talked to an Ukrainian entrepreneur... he fled from Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. "Rockets everywhere!" was what he described to me. But at the same time, he seemed just mildly annoyed, still at a comfortable environment, good wifi and Zooming with me to discuss his start-up.
Will the war end soon? How will it impact the market going forward? What have you been adding to your portfolio? Is it $Netflix(NFLX.US)$$Alibaba(BABA.US)$ or $Futu Holdings Ltd(FUTU.US)$ ?...

War, Ego, and Investment

I doubt the war will end soon. Putin made a huge mistake invading Ukraine and his ego will not allow him to admit it or fix it.
As a narcissistic psychopathic personality Putin will enlist every Russian citizen into the military and watch them die before he'd admit defeat.
He'll leave Ukraine empty of every man woman and child with every building destroyed because he'd rather rule over ruins than admit defeat.
What does this mean for investors? That seems like a crass que...

ColumnINVEST!Chapter 18 - Futures, Futures

Oil price has seen some crazy ups and downs these few years.
It was just 2020 when WTI crude contract dropped 306%, or $55.90, for the session, to settle at negative $37.63 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. And now we are seeing it skyrocketing because of the Russian-Ukraine war.
How can we make profit from the volatility of commodities?

no one is an island and I have been observing the market most of the time. agree I have missed many opportunities but better to be on the safe side

ukraine war

the ukraine war has been having a toll on russia with a majority of countrys trying to cut russian oil imports. there also are pipelines vital for germany runnng through ukrain which have been uneffected. if something would happen this would make nordstream 2 the only option for germany to keep the lights on.
ukraine is vital for neon gas and food production. $Imperial Petroleum(IMPP.US)$$Camber Energy(CEI.US)$$Occidental Petroleum(OXY.US)$$W&T Offshore(WTI.US)$

I have no idea how long this war will last and how much more complicated it may be . key thing is to conserve enough emergency cash . then the rest might be invested for the medium to long term . Focus on strong defensive and consistently  cash flow generative businesses , better still if dividend giving stocks , buy and accumulate in the price dips . $ST Engineering(S63.SG)$ , $DBS Group Holdings(D05.SG)$ $Mapletree Ind Tr(ME8U.SG)$ , $Visa(V.US)$ $Amazon(AMZN.US)$ $Veeva Systems(VEEV.US)$ $Heico(HEI.US)$ and...

Be Bold and Buy When Fear is in the Markets

The war in Ukraine has caused lots of chaos and volatility in the markets.  It has also caused oil prices to skyrocket.
The war may or may not end soon but it will eventually end.  In the meantime it has been a roller coaster ride for investors.
When there is Fear and Panic in the market, it is a great time to buy quality stocks like Apple and Microsoft.  In the long run they will grow exponentially and we can harvest the bumper profits.
