On the fourth Thursday in November every year, we gather with our families, eat turkey, watch football and gear up for Black Friday.
Thanksgiving is a time for food, friends and family. It's also a time to pause, reflect on our lives and think about what we're thankful for.

A book you read? Maybe a guru? The list goes on and on. There are so many things that we appreciate and feel grateful deep down in our heart. My Approach to Investing

Having a supportive family and strong family bonding that I am grateful for help to foster a free spirit in me to pursue my own investing journey. Before I start investing, the initial question that comes into my mind is whether or not it will be a great investment. Almost always I would wonder if I could make any gains from it. While these are useful questions, they may not necessarily be the most important ones. Instead I am able to embark on my investing journey by asking these questions. My approach to investing prioritises buying and holding high quality stocks for the long haul. Rather than letting any short term price fluctuations affect my investing decisions, I focus the most on the business fundamentals of those companies which I invest in. By examining my risk tolerance, I am able to understand how much volatility I am comfortable with. In view of market uncertainty, I am prepared to hold my stock picks through market volatility and target more on long term returns. Without a doubt, it is impossible that all my stock picks will be winners. Instead, I remain vested in the winning stocks as winning companies normally continue winning. I am grateful that I have the opportunity to spend enough time investing and reflecting on my experiences, which have helped me to learn more along the way. One of the most valuable things I have learnt is the importance of patience in deciding when to buy and sell a stock. Investing is not a race for me as I am looking more to capture reasonable returns over the long term. I am grateful that I could take my time and pay close attention to what I am thinking along the way.

Birds of a Feather, Flock Together !

Traveling to meet my Family
Most of the people stay away from their family ( including me ) and we have to travel to meet our loved ones. Hence, making it one of the Thanksgiving traditions. Some of us travel by plane, train or car. Thanksgiving is possibly the busiest travel day of the year.
Giving and Sharing
I always take this opportunity to help out the less fortunate. I will volunteer at the homeless shelter and serve food. Every Thanksgiving, I will donate canned food to the homeless in the canned food drives as well. The main purpose of Thanksgiving is to actually give and share selflessly.
Some of the things which I am exceptionally grateful for:

Finally a Thanksgiving dinner that isn’t remotely!
How many of us missed our annual Thanksgiving gatherings last year? I know, I did. Hopefully, most of us will be able to share a meal with our closest friends and family in 2021. And, maybe even laugh about the previous virtual Thanksgiving dinner…

Technology
I am thankful to technology for connecting me and my loved ones via Zoom/Cisco Webex/Microsoft Teams/Google Meet/FaceTime so we can see each other’s (silly) faces and keep in touch always.

Knowledge
I am thankful to MooMoo for the reliable all-in-one investment platform which allows me to achieve modest financial goals and gaining easy access to timely investing knowledge.
I look forward to preparing and savouring delicious food with all my beloved family members, gathering around the table together. We will go around expressing what we are thankful for the whole year.
I believe in following the practice of gratitude, giving and sharing with the less fortunate. Not everyone is as lucky to have a roof over their heads, clothes to cover their bodies and food to fill their stomachs.

A Thanksgiving To Remember

As year 2021 draws to a close, it is time to reflect and count our blessings. 2021 is probably one of my most difficult years to date. It is a year I am not likely to forget as we had a health scare in the family which added to the stress of coping with the pandemic.
For almost two years, I have had to forgo or keep to a minimum things I had previously taken for granted — shaking hands, visiting family and friends, dining out, taking off overseas, visiting malls, going to the cinema, visiting the dentist, having a haircut, etc.
Reading the accounts of people who recovered from COVID-19 brought home to me the preciousness of simple pleasures like having our loved ones close to us, going outdoors and being able to taste and smell.
I’m immensely grateful for:
1. The people who love and care for me.
2. The roof over our heads and the food on our table.
3. The first class healthcare system in my country.
4. The selfless and dedicated folks working at the frontline. In particular, I want to thank the healthcare workers who have worked so hard for so long.
5. Having internet access which keeps me connected with people whom I cannot meet face to face and up to date with my investments. The ones that did well were $NetLink NBN Tr(CJLU.SG)$ $DBS Group Holdings(D05.SG)$ $CapitaLandInvest(9CI.SG)$ and $CapLand IntCom T(C38U.SG)$ .

A Gift Of Love

On Thanksgiving day this year, my cousin has pampered her partner with a FUTU/Moomoo gift. She has signed him on the Big Moomoo family with SGD 2700. With this move she has basically three ulterior goals in mind:
