ESG Sneaker Allbirds IPO: Fad or Future?

Backed by Leonardo DiCaprio, ESG Sneaker maker Allbirds aims to be valued at more than $2 billion in its New York IPO, priced between $12 and $14. The market cap is about $1.86 billion, expected trading on Nov 3.
Founded in 2015, Allbirds says it is pioneering a Sustainable Public Offering with fundamental beliefs about the emerging generation of consumers: climate change as an existential threat to the human race, connecting purchase with impact on the planet, and little compromise between looking good, feeling good, and doing good. Barack Obama, Ashton Kutcher, and Google co-founder Larry Page have been spotted wearing Allbirds sneakers in recent years.
The past-12-month revenue and profit are $219 mi and $-26 mi. The company said it expects net revenue to grow up to 32% for the quarter ended Sept. 30, due to higher sales at its physical stores.

$Allbirds(BIRD.US)$ It has potential but I am always weary of anything without a serious moat. Competitors per usual will introduce similar style shoes to compete. When I see products like this, I get vibes that it is a fashion fad type of product.
$Allbirds(BIRD.US)$ I would be careful for now. Pumped like crazy on IPO day and I have a feeling it will come back to earth in the next couple of weeks. Their fundamentals aren't great with increasing losses already in the first half of 2021. I personally have a pair of allbirds and recommend the shoes to all my friends, but I would wait on this one. *Not financial advice*

Allbirds finalizes $15 and I’m pissed

$Allbirds(BIRD.US)$ I put money into Robinhood solely for pre ipo access to the stock. It was priced at $12-$14 and then they come out at $15. Also valuation seemed high even at those lower prices
$Allbirds(BIRD.US)$ I'll watch from the sidelines for now, but anecdotally, will add that their shoes are fantastic.
$Allbirds(BIRD.US)$ Numbers don't matter. This is in the $Tesla(TSLA.US)$ category as a customer and story stock.
$Allbirds(BIRD.US)$ bird soaring as the name suggests it. but I missed this

$GlobalFoundries(GFS.US)$ Allbirds, the sustainable shoe company, raised nearly $303 million after increasing the size of its IPO that also priced above its expected price range. Allbirds said late Tuesday that it sold about 20.2 million shares at $15 each, up from the 19.2 million shares at $12 to $14 each it had planned to offer. If you get blood, you don’t get blood.

If a new stock is listed, there is a high probability that it will rise on the same day. If you get it, you will earn blood, but if you don’t get it, you will not lose. Think on the bright side. If you lose, you can calm your mind and think that you are testing. Of course, don’t invest too much in this test, otherwise it will become a blood loss. Controlling your desires is the most important thing. Don’t think too much.
