August just delivered another powerful demand check for the AI hardware cycle. Major server ODMs posted broad-based growth, with several recording triple-digit YoY increases, while $Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM.US)$ 's latest monthly sales added an upstream confirmation that the strength is extending from rack assembly back into semiconductor manufacturing.

$Intel (INTC.US)$ jumped roughly 9% on Tuesday even as the $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ fell 0.6%, making it one of the market's standout semiconductor winners. The immediate catalysts were a fresh CPU price hike report and a major analyst upgrade, but investors are increasingly trading a much bigger story: Intel may finally have pricing power, AI demand and foundry momentum working at the same time.

Havenly Father, we pray for our world in this troubled time. Bring comfort to those affected by earthquakes, haze, climate disasters, poverty, and war. Protect families, children, and those who are suffering. Give wisdom to world leaders and turn hearts away from hatred and violence.
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1
Lord, bring Your peace into fearful hearts and broken nations. Open people’s eyes to know You, trust You, and receive Your...

76221689 : hold
Hassu Syed : Grabbed a Nov $100 put for ~$3. My entry was around $88, so worst case I'm locking in $100 floor = still ~14% gain. Costs me about 3% of the position but I sleep fine if it retests $85.
ecommerceshares : IV is juicy right now — INTC running 65-70% across the board vs its usual 35-45%. That's the real edge here.
My play: sell the Oct $115 call (~$5.70) against my shares and use that to start funding a Jan '28 $150 LEAPS call (~$23). One round of covered calls covers about 25% of the LEAPS. Plan to roll monthly — Oct $115C, then Nov $115-120C, Dec, etc. Four to five rounds and the LEAPS is basically free. The logic: I'm capping upside at $115 short-term (8% above current — fine if it chops at resistance for a bit), but building a free lottery ticket to $150 over 16 months.
If INTC breaks out now and blows past $115? I get called away at a 30% gain from my $86 cost, not mad. If it stays range-bound, theta works for me on the sell side while the LEAPS barely decays. Key point — the IV term structure is flat right now, so you're not getting a discount on the LEAPS. But near-month theta burns WAY faster than far-month theta, so time is on your side if you keep rolling. Essentially converting short-term volatility premium into long-term upside exposure.
ecommerceshares : This format is great — it helps drive real-world adoption of options trading.
