Anthropic is moving forward with an IPO, but for AI investors, the bigger takeaway from its prospectus is the sheer scale of its future compute spending.
According to the confidential prospectus obtained by Reuters, Anthropic has committed at least $518 billion to cloud, compute, and AI infrastructure over roughly the next decade. About 80% of those commitments are non-cancelable or must be paid regardless of actu...

Good Morning Traders!
Oil's pulling back this morning on optimism around diplomatic efforts to end the Iran conflict. Oman is still working toward a deal with Iran, per reports last week, and this week President Trump is scheduled to meet with China's President Xi. If anyone could pressure Iran to the table, it's their most loyal customer. But I don't know if Xi has softened his stance on Iran at all. Meaning, I don't know if he...

The IPO race has flipped
Anthropic and OpenAI are suddenly heading in different directions.
Anthropic is preparing for a potential late-2026 IPO that could value it at around $2T, while $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ is considering investing up to $10B as an anchor investor. OpenAI, meanwhile, has ruled out a 2026 IPO. Investors are discussing another private round at roughly a $1.2T valuation, although those talks remain preliminary.

Yesterday's market action probably rattled a lot of people.
And by now, you've likely seen the headlines: AI leaders are talking about safety, tighter controls, and even slowing down the development of advanced AI. Anthropic has called for a coordinated and verifiable pause, while more than 1,200 employees and researchers from OpenAI, Anthropic, GOOG, MSFT, and META have urged governments to buy more time for AI gov...

Born from a split with OpenAI, Anthropic has taken a different path in the AI race: fewer consumer users, but a deeper focus on high-value enterprise customers, coding and workplace applications. That strategy may already be generating more revenue than OpenAI, fueling expectations of a potential record-breaking IPO valued at around $2 trillion. This video explores how Anthropic built its business—and whether its rise represents a histori...

$NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ By Robert McMillan
The leaders of three of the biggest AI companies agreed that they needed to slow development of the technology before their advances create a menace that can't be controlled.
It was a rare display of unity by Elon Musk, Sam Altman and Dario Amodei, who have been spending tens of billions of dollars to develop evermore powerful artificial intelligence models. Altman even suggested that his company, OpenAI, may need to delay its much-anticipated IPO to focus ...

$NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ Sept 11 (Reuters) - Anthropic is in talks to bring Nvidia as an anchor investor into what could be the largest IPO in history, two people familiar with the matter told Reuters.
Anthropic is seeking to raise as much as $100 billion that could value the artificial intelligence startup at around $2 trillion, the people said. Nvidia is considering investing up to $10 billion in the IPO, one of the sources added. The plans remain under discussion and could change, they cautioned, r...

OpenAI's newest model, GPT-6 Astra, just completed all 48 levels of "I'm Not a Robot" a browser game built to parody CAPTCHA using visual reasoning and "Computer Use" to click, drag, and adapt to changing on-screen rules in real time. It wasn't just answering questions; it was operating the browser interface itself, step by step, to finish in about 4 minutes.

Friday’s market caught my attention.
The broader market wasn’t especially strong, and big tech was mixed. But semiconductors and memory names were noticeably stronger. Micron had a very good day, and the whole memory/storage group stood out.
That made me wonder whether money is starting to rotate back into the hardware side of AI.
Then I started thinking about the upcoming Anthropic IPO.
What interests me is not only the IPO itself, but the whole infrastruct...
