I have not heard of GEX before this. After reading more, it is a market "barometer" that tracks market maker activity, and give you insights on whether the market is volatile or not. This will be a great feature for something who is just starting out, like me. I have some ETFs which I buy for my long term growth portfolio, but I also want to set aside some funds for short term gains (buy low, sell high). Last Friday, $SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY.US)$ closed at 745.64, $Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ.US)$ at 717.54 — both sitting above their gamma flip points at 741 and 711 respectively. Dealers are net long gamma here, which mechanically explains the low realized vol environment we've been trading in. That dynamic is still in place, but it's worth being precise about the boundaries.

I have been selling SOFI put since early 2026. Being able to create filters for IV rank, percentile etc is really helpful in creating options positions. its also a feature missing from other brokerage Apps in my experiance. At least many of thr phone apps.
