New Year, Same Cards
The first day of the year carries a strange energy. Some see it as a reset, a blank slate for resolutions and reinvention. I see it as just another hand dealt, another bet to size up.
I rolled into Splashin’s a little before noon, the air still thick with the remnants of last night’s celebrations. New Year’s Eve at the poker room is always a ...

My pivots since the day I joined this game:
- From 50:50 US: SEA to 100:0
- From 100% stocks/ETFs to spreading across stocks, options and cash, and from stock-focused to option-focused
- From dividend stocks to healthy or growth stocks
- From all sorts of sectors to tech-related sectors
With regards to my hopes for the rest of the year, I hope to recover last year's losses and, on top of that, grow at least 2% more than EPF/ KWSP.
Still have to undo some past mistakes on stock pick...

In 2025, my strategy is to split my portfolio into 2 and build my retirement plan.
1 to focus on value growth stocks, leveraging on dollar cost averaging strategy to build position in stocks i have great conviction.
2nd part of my strategy to start buying ETFs via RSP, targetting to buy a few different ones that focus on different sectors instead of broad S&P 500. Primarily to diversify from individual stock picks above!
wishing everyone a moo-tastic 2025, to the moon!!!

Dwayne Sheng : The momentum is strong in this one. I believe we'll ride with it into an upward trend especially with the feel-good factor to consider with Trump's 2nd reign beginning although expection of multiple rate cuts has been subdued. The euphoria will then fizzle out in the 2nd half and end up at 6,500-ish by year end. That being said, for those who invest passively, hang tight on your stable income and stay on the course with your investment, don't let our DCA stop at any point. We'll surely be able to reap the rewards decades down the road

NiceOne : Next year will be fantastic for all asset classes. Firstly, Donald Trump will be President of the World and he is a great business man. Business men makes great Presidents. Then he will be assisted by the visionary ELON MUSK!!! I'm telling you - we are going to the MOON - metaphorically and literally - with $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ and SpaceX. Invest now and get rich in 2025.
Lucas Cheah : I am feeling optimistic about the market in 2025, especially with the U.S. economy showing resilience and potential policy shifts boosting growth. My investment strategy will focus on blue-chip stocks—they offer stability, steady dividends, and long-term growth potential. Companies in sectors like tech, healthcare, and consumer staples will likely be my go-to picks, as they tend to perform well regardless of market conditions.
